Dulce de Leche - Check!

Another day, another item crossed off the Food List Challenge! Today that item was Dulce de Leche, which as it turns out is one of the easiest things I've ever made! Who knew something so delicious and luxurious would involve such little effort?!




Ingredients
  • 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

Instructions

1) Completely submerge the can in a pot of boiling water and simmer for 3 hours.

Anddddd that's it!? You literally put the can in the pot, check it 2-3 times over 3 hrs to ensure can's still covered, top it up with some water, and BAM you have this perfect caramel sauce, ideal for ice cream sundaes, a whole plethora of recipes or just straight up eating it from the jar.

Caution: It's important to monitor the water level of the boiling pot to ensure the can is covered at all times; otherwise, we could have explosions or anything and we don't want that. If water starts to dip down, top it up with some boiled water from the kettle.
